Our Courses

Our training programs help prepare jobseekers for traineeships and job placement with our industry partners.

Delivered by The Gordon TAFE in our training rooms at the Norlane Community Centre, the certificate level courses include site visits to industry partners, guest speakers and, for individual support, work placement.

Our Work and Learning Advisors will help you identify the right course for you and, together with experienced and committed teachers from The Gordon, you will receive the support you need to complete the course, regardless of your prior education or work experience.

GETTING AHEAD

Certificate I Employment Pathways

A good place to start planning pathways to further training and employment.

DURATION: 15 weeks

Class Days: Thursday and Friday

Class Times: 9am – 3pm

Programs commencing: March and July

Location: Norlane Community Centre, Rose Ave, Norlane

BUSINESS BASICS

Certificate II Skills for Work & Vocational Pathways

Building skills to begin a career in business administration

DURATION: 12 weeks

Class Days: Monday and Tuesday

Class Times: 9am – 3pm

Programs commencing: March and July

Location: Norlane Community Centre, Rose Ave, Norlane

WAREHOUSING OPERATIONS

Certificate II Warehousing Operations

Training for jobs in warehousing and logistics including forklift licence and first aid certificate

DURATION: 14 weeks

Class Days: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

Class Times: 9am – 3pm

Programs commencing: March and July

Location: Norlane Community Centre, Rose Ave, Norlane

INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT

Certificate III Individual Support

Skills for employment in personal care within the aged care, home and community care and disability services sectors

DURATION: 26 weeks

Class Days: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

Class Times: 9am – 3pm
(Includes some Monday – Friday Work Placement)

Programs commencing: March

Location: Norlane Community Centre, Rose Ave, Norlane

HEALTH SERVICES ASSISTANT

Certificate III Health Services Assistant

Training for hospital based employment as a patient services or ward assistant

DURATION: 16 weeks

Class Days: Thursday and Friday

Class Times: 9am – 3.30pm
(Includes some Monday – Friday Work Placement)
